It's being reported that two in five schools in England believe that the quality of education is being directly impacted by the rise in energy costs.
This news comes following a survey of 500 school leaders by Commercial Services Group that shows 56% of secondary schools and multi-academy trusts are currently running long-term financial deficits.
The report goes further into detail how the measures that schools are now taking in order to combat then rises and to reduce costs, such as lowering classroom heating, and switching lights off during the day.
