It's been revealed that the UK is now currently paying the highest electricity prices in the world - in an article by Matt Oliver, who is the Industry Editor at The Telegraph.
According to the Government's figures the cost of power for industrial businesses has jumped 124pc in just five years, which has now shot the UK to the top of international league tables.
To put things into context, it is now around 50pc more expensive than the cost of power in Germany and France - and alarmingly four times as expensive as in the US.
It raises even more concerns about the future of UK industry amid warnings that these high energy prices are crippling domestic manufacturers.
